Server
Email delivery.
Admin → Branding → Email is the mail server. Until it is working, invitations, package links, receive-link notices and password resets are not sent. You can still copy a link and pass it on yourself.
What to enter
- The mail server's hostname and port.
- Security: STARTTLS, which starts plain and upgrades to encrypted, or TLS, which is encrypted from the start.
- The username and password, if the server requires them. A password already saved is kept when you leave the field blank.
- The name and address messages are sent from.
Save and turn sending on, or save the settings without turning them on yet. The page shows whether sending is off, untested or working, and the reason if the last attempt failed.
Send a test
Enter an address and send a test message. Use an inbox you can open. A test that arrives means invitations and receipts will use the same path.
